At Accumen Wealth, we place strong importance on protecting client confidentiality and handling personal, financial, and investment-related information with care. Safeguarding client data is a core part of how we operate and applies to all client interactions, consultations, and service engagements.
Our Confidentiality Commitments
- We do not disclose client information to third parties, except where required by law, regulation, or with the client’s consent.
- We do not use client names, identities, portfolio details, or personal information for marketing or promotional purposes without prior written consent.
- We do not share client references, investment details, financial information, or personal circumstances with prospective clients.
- We do not sell, rent, or distribute client lists, personal information, financial data, or confidential information under any circumstances.
Confidentiality Agreement
During the course of an engagement, clients may share information that is personal, financial, proprietary, sensitive, or confidential. To ensure appropriate protection of such information, the following terms apply.
Definition of Confidential Information
“Confidential Information” includes, but is not limited to, all non-public information disclosed by the client, whether written, oral, electronic, or visual, including:
- Personal and financial information
- Investment details, portfolio holdings, and transaction records
- Banking, income, tax, and wealth-related information
- Financial goals, retirement plans, succession plans, and family wealth information
- Insurance, estate planning, and nomination-related information
- Risk profile, investment preferences, and suitability-related information
- Business, professional, and income-related information
- Client identity, contact details, and documentation
- Any other information shared for financial planning, wealth management, investment consultation, or advisory-related purposes
This information is considered confidential regardless of whether it is explicitly marked as “confidential” at the time of disclosure.
Use and Disclosure Restrictions
Accumen Wealth agrees to:
- Use confidential information solely for the purpose of providing agreed wealth management, financial planning, investment-related, or consultation services.
- Limit access to confidential information strictly to directors, officers, employees, advisors, representatives, or authorized service providers who have a legitimate need to know such information.
- Ensure that internal personnel and authorized representatives handling confidential information are bound by appropriate confidentiality obligations.
- Not disclose confidential information to any third party unless required by applicable law, regulation, compliance requirement, or authorized in writing by the client.
Exclusions from Confidential Information
Confidentiality obligations do not apply to information that:
- Was lawfully in Accumen Wealth’s possession before disclosure by the client
- Becomes publicly available through no fault of Accumen Wealth
- Is rightfully received from a third party without a duty of confidentiality
- Is disclosed with the client’s written authorization
- Is independently developed without reference to the client’s confidential information
- Is required to be disclosed under applicable law, regulation, court order, regulatory direction, or statutory obligation
Term and Modifications
This confidentiality agreement represents the complete understanding between Accumen Wealth and the client regarding confidential information.
Any modifications must be made in writing and agreed by both parties. If any provision of this agreement is found to be unenforceable, the remaining provisions shall continue in full force and effect, with the unenforceable provision modified only to the extent necessary to maintain enforceability.
Responsibility for Unauthorized Use
Clients are responsible for ensuring that any access credentials, documents, financial information, investment records, account details, or systems shared with Accumen Wealth are accurate, authorized, and used appropriately.
Accumen Wealth shall not be liable for losses, damages, unauthorized access, or misuse resulting from client-side actions, incorrect information provided by the client, compromised credentials, third-party breaches, or events beyond our reasonable control.
